Confirmation Class

confirmation
Immanuel’s confirmation program is an opportunity for our youth (sixth through eighth grade) to learn more about the faith into which they were baptized and to provide them with another step in their lifelong journey as a Christian.

Confirmation class leads the children to a greater knowledge and appreciation for what our Savior, Jesus Christ, has done for us as well as to learn more about Lutheran worship and church history. Instruction includes studying the Bible and making use of the Luther’s Small Catechism which is based on the Bible. The six chief parts of our faith studied in the Confirmation are the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer, Baptism, the Lord’s Supper, the Use of the Keys and Confession and the Apostles Creed. Students are taught to be critical learners, to assure themselves that the Bible teaches God’s Word in its truth and purity. This strong Biblical foundation will be one on which our young people will continue to build on throughout the rest of their lives.

Confirmation classes are generally scheduled for Wednesday evenings, September through May, from 6 to 8 p.m. Please contact our Pastor for additional information or any questions you have on the confirmation program.
